Day -1, lets get preparing

Hi everyone and welcome to my first ever blog
My name is Jo and I live in Nottingham with my husband and my two gorgeous kiddies.  I am a long term dieter and have finally got sick of the gimmicks and decided to embark on a healthier lifestyle, rather than thinking about it in terms of weight loss.
So, after much reading and research, I decided on the Whole30 plan.  What attracted me to this was that it’s only 30 days to start with, and I can get on board with that, if after 30 days, I am not seeing any improvement to my health then I will re-evaluate my decision.  What I do know is that grains and dairy do not like me, I have kidded myself for years, stuffed my body full of pills and potions to try and stop the horrible side effects I get when I put these things in my body, but now I am going to eliminate them totally.
I know this is not going to be easy, I have done so many diets over the years and none of them have worked long term, I lost 21lbs on Weight Watchers, and put all but 14lbs of it back on.  I started using my points so I could drink wine and eat sweets, not a good thing.  My skin is awful, I am always tired and I have no energy – this has to stop, I am poisoning myself.
I have 9 stone to lose but this isn’t about weight for me, this is about a healthier lifestyle, changing my mindset and getting over this addiction to sugar and rubbish carbs.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog, I do intend to be totally honest and if I do make the wrong choices - I will be starting again from day 1.

Today is all about preparing, I have loads of frozen meat and fish at home, so I am going to be meal planning my little heart out when I finish work.  Bring on the week
